Our Student Council Members are already busy at work and organised their first and very successful Bingo Night Fundraiser on Friday, 6th October 2017 at 6.00pm in the Library. This was planned with very little supervision and is a herald of their accomplishments this year. Bingo is a fun and sociable game, which involves someone calling a series of random numbers usually found in a Bingo machine. Players have cards containing a set amount of numbers and if a number is called which matches one on their card they can cross it off or bend it over. The first to cross off or bend over all their numbers wins.

It was a fun and relaxing night with all the children, and a few parents, joining us. To enter, children paid GH 2.00 but admission was free for adults. All participants received a Bingo card and played two rounds of games and stood a chance of winning prizes. As the Bingo machine was spun, Student Council members took it in turns to call out the number labelled on each ball which popped out, and players were required to bend over the number which matched the one called. There was also a snack bar with donations from parents; there were chocolate cupcakes, banana muffins, rye biscuits and cheese, drinks, water, among others, to purchase at a minimal fee.

At the end of the night, we had four winners and two sets of ties; Mrs Loreto Valenzuela tied with Daniel Jennings and Mr. Jose Valenzuela tied with Amanda Mulawarman. Our winners had to share two bars of chocolates.

With your help, the Student Council was able to raise Two Hundred and Ninety Ghana Cedis (GHS 290.00) and all proceeds will go to our community service projects with the Methodist School in Kenyase. We would like to seize this opportunity to thank the Principal, Mr. & Mrs. Valenzuela and all parents who contributed to a very enjoyable Bingo Night.
