Our maiden school musical, What’s the Crime, Mr. Wolf?, was a resounding success. Held on Thursday, 12th December 2024, the performance brought together creativity, teamwork, and months of hard work to deliver an unforgettable theatrical experience.
This musical courtroom comedy is set inside and outside the Fabletown Courtroom. Under the watchful gaze of Lord Feathers of Eiderdown, the case against Mr. Wolf unfolds. Prosecutor Mr. Hugh Mann, with his assistant Justin Case, calls a mix of witnesses to the stand—from Johnny Mole, the secret agent, to the Three Little Pigs and Red Riding Hood. But are these iconic fairy-tale characters as innocent as they appear? And how can a human, who enjoys a meaty diet, accuse a wolf of being a carnivore? The courtroom is filled with eccentricities: wacky, singing squirrels running the proceedings; Sergeant Trunk, Constable Twig, and police dog Bark from Special Branch offering unexpected testimony; and protesters more interested in scoring pizza deals than protesting. Meanwhile, secret agents mysteriously self-destruct at the worst times. The audience plays a crucial part as the jury, deciding whether Mr. Wolf is guilty or not guilty. Let the chaotic trial begin!
The intriguing storyline kept the audience captivated, as our students brought to life the characters and themes of this production. A heartfelt congratulations to the entire cast and crew for their outstanding efforts! From the students who performed on stage to the behind-the-scenes team, this production was a collective triumph. Thank you to all our staff who helped in a variety of ways – from directing the actors, coaching on voice projection and expression, helping with choreography, music and backdrops, making props and costume pieces, and much more!! Thank you to the PTFA for covering refreshments for the night.
We are incredibly proud of our ISA community for making What’s the Crime, Mr. Wolf? a highlight of the year. Stay tuned for more exciting performances in the future!
