The youngest children in the Nursery (age 2-3) and the Reception class (age 4–5 years) follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) programme from the UK. The EYFS curriculum is rich and varied, reflecting the school’s mission, and is rooted in a culture of inquiry. This is particularly important for students as it is during these early stages that they develop essential skills in reading, writing and number. Literacy and numeracy are strong and often individualised with a multi-faceted approach in both areas. Students are also supported at a variety of reading levels. The Early Years Centre is currently only available to MKV residents. The school day ends for Nursery at 12:30pm and for Reception at 1:55pm.
