Handing Over of Canteen

This week, we celebrated the handing over of the new canteen to the school by Newmont.  We are truly grateful to have this new space available to us.  It will be a wonderful place for lunch and we will save much time now that the children do not have to walk down to the MKV Clubhouse. This will give them more time for playing, which I am sure they will appreciate.  

A number of representatives from Newmont were at the event, including Mr. Jenkins Kroon, (Vice President Productivity, Newmont Ghana Ahafo Mine and Chair of the ISA Board), and Mr. Godwin Gyimah (Senior Human Resources Manager, Newmont Ghana Ahafo Mine and ISA Board Member). The Student Council represented the student body and we can be very proud of how they conducted themselves.

The PTFA leadership team and a few other parents were also able to attend.  The new canteen will be much more than just a place for lunch as we envision it being used for events, meetings and parent gatherings.
