PadAGirl Project

In commemoration of this year’s International Women's Day, the older girls partnered with the MKV Ladies on the #padAGirl project which sought to reduce period poverty among under-privileged girls and to keep them in school. 

The MKV ladies raised money to buy sanitary pads for girls in the local schools. These had to be packed into bags for distribution and this was done with the help of many hands on Tuesday.

Then on Wednesday, some MKV ladies and our older girls visited the schools to give out the bags and to provide 

information to the girls on menstrual health and hygiene. The whole project was a great success and it was wonderful 

that some of our students could participate in community service.
