Akwaaba Games 2025

It was wonderful to see everyone back on Monday, 18th August 2025, as we officially began classes for the 2025/2026 academic year. The week was filled with energy, curiosity, and plenty of smiles as students settled into their classrooms, reconnected with friends, and embarked on new learning adventures.

To wrap up our first week together, we celebrated with our annual Akwaaba Games on Friday, 22nd August. The day began with a lively whole-school warm-up routine, setting the tone for an exciting morning of activities. Students were introduced to their new teams for the year, where they quickly bonded and cheered each other on during a variety of fun challenges designed to build teamwork and school spirit.

From sack races and relays to Ghanaian traditional games such as Pilolo and the cloth race, the field was alive with laughter, cheering, and friendly competition. Students also enjoyed creating and flying local kites, adding even more color and excitement to the celebration.

The Akwaaba Games were a fantastic way to end our first week, strengthening bonds within the school community and reminding us all that learning goes hand in hand with play, culture, and togetherness.
