On 22nd June 2024, the school held its second Graduation Ceremony for Year 9 students, along with a celebration of milestones for Reception and Year 6 students. The event began promptly at 10:00 a.m at the Forecourt with a warm welcome by the Principal Ms. Meg Sutcliffe.
A highlight of the day was the inspiring speech delivered by Guest Speaker and PTFA Chairperson, Mrs. Gloria Alorchie-Apetor, who reminded students that their journey marks not only academic success but also personal growth. She emphasised the importance of empathy, teamwork, and kindness as they move forward in life.
The event also featured lively and colourful performances from Years 7 & 8, 3 & 4, Years 1 & 2 students and the Ballet Club. This was followed by heartfelt speeches from the graduating Year 9 students, who reflected on their time at the school and shared their excitement for the future. Year 9 students’ achievements were honored with certificates presented by Mr. Alex Kofi Annin, the General Manager of Newmont Ahafo Mine and a board member.
The ceremony concluded with a whole-school performance and closing remarks from the Principal. Thereafter, the celebration continued with light refreshments in the Courtyard, allowing the school community to come together and reflect on a memorable day.
