On Wednesday, 2nd October 2024, staff gathered after school to celebrate World Teachers’ Day with a delightful Afternoon Tea. World Teachers Day is held annually on 5th October to celebrate the work of teachers globally. Teachers and support staff alike took a moment to recognise the essential role educators play in preparing young people for the future. Many shared quotes about teachers and reflected on the impact their own teachers had made on them as they were growing up.
On Friday, 4th October, the Student Council organised a morning of fun games and activities to provide an opportunity for students to also celebrate with staff.
We finished off our World Teachers’ Day Celebrations with volleyball and Tug of Peace as these were postponed due to bad weather. Year 7 to 9 students proved to be too strong for staff in the Tug of Peace. However, staff were thrilled to eventually triumph in Volleyball. Our cheerleaders cheered for everyone. Thank you to the Student Council for organising these events.
