During the October half-term break, our school took a big leap – right across the atlantic! From October 26th to November 2nd, 2024, a group of 12 students and 5 chaperones embarked on an unforgettable field trip to London. This was our very first international excursion, giving our students the opportunity to experience the history, culture, and charm of one of the world’s iconic cities.
Some of the famous landmarks they visited included the London Zoo, Regent’s Park, Westminster, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the Sea Life London Aquarium, London Eye, Madame Tussauds, Chessington World of Adventure and the Natural History Museum, Westfields Mall with a magical stop at Hamleys Toy Shop. Additionally, they enjoyed a scenic boat ride along the Thames, taking in beautiful views of the city.
As a school, we believe that travelling is, in many ways, like school. There is so much to learn outside the classroom from becoming open-minded to other people and cultures, learning empathy and independence, and cultivating a sheer curiosity about the world. We hope the group returned with newfound curiosity and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.
