Year 7-9 Students Explore the UN SDGs

While some of their colleagues were away in Uganda for the Association of International Schools (AISA) Global Service Summit, the Year 7-9 students who remained at school explored the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Throughout the week, they deepened their understanding of these global goals and created a display board to showcase their findings.

At ISA, both teachers and students are working to integrate the UN SDGs more into lessons and ensure that our learning connects to real-world issues. The UN SDGs were also a key focus for the AISA GISS in Uganda and this exercise was a shared learning experience for both groups.

At assembly on 28th February 2025, these students delivered a thought-provoking presentation on how ISA already contributes to the UN SDGs and proposed new ways to take action. The posters they designed will be displayed at the Forecourt. Their reflections serve as a reminder of our responsibility as global citizens and challenge us to consider how we can make a greater impact in our communities and the world at large.
