Student Council Spirit Week

Student Council Spirit Week is always a favourite on the school calendar – It gives students a break from their uniforms so they can express themselves creatively and enjoy activities that strengthen our sense of community. This year’s event was held from 23rd to 27th June.

On Monday, we kicked things off with Pyjama Day, complete with a relaxing movie afternoon and popcorn. On Tuesday, everyone got into the spirit of Crazy Clothes Day, showing off their wildest outfits. The day also featured a series of games: older students played volleyball, while the Year 1 to 4 students played some handcrafted games with the Early Years. Later, some groups enjoyed a game of basketball.

On Wednesday, the tables turned as students stepped into the shoes of their teachers for the day. It was wonderful to see them take on the challenge of teaching and doing so with confidence, humour, and creativity. Many even arrived dressed as very elegant “teachers,” much to everyone’s delight.

On Thursday, everyone dressed up according to their class themes. We had sneakers and caps in the Early Years, blue in Year 1 & 2, movie characters in Year 3 & 4, gangsters in Year 5 & 6, luxury in Year 7 & 8 and Science in Year 9. Break-time karaoke was very popular and added another layer of fun.

The highlight of the week was the Triathlon on Friday. Paramedics and security were on standby to ensure the safety of our students. The week concluded on a high note with the Triathlon on Friday. Paramedics and security were on standby to keep everyone safe as students took on the challenge with determination and enthusiasm. It was truly a memorable finish to a spirited term.
