Child Protection

The safety and wellbeing of the students at the International School of Ahafo are of utmost importance to us. The International School of Ahafo will work with the children, parents/guardians, volunteers and the community to ensure the safety and security of students. Where staff or others need to raise concerns, these can be made to the Child Protection Lead or the Principal, who will coordinate a response.

Our staff and adults must, at all times, be vigilant for signs which may indicate that a child is at risk from abuse and are trained to act upon their observations. Child Protection is also taught as part of the PSHE curriculum and staff undergo professional development annually.

We employ safer recruitment strategies; new hires are subject to rigorous background, criminal history and reference checks.

All staff and volunteers are required to sign the Child Protection Code of Conduct. To report any child protection issues, please email childprotection@isa.edu.gh
